Spiral Scout: A Practical and Tactical Approach to Temporal and AI

Abstract

Temporal is a great engine to build AI applications. While it is useful to help manage end-to-end processing of data and user engagement, it is also an amazing platform to build AI agents. In this talk we will present a practical and tactical approach to using Temporal for AI outlining patterns of use and providing technical insight, using code to show how to build and optimize Temporal AI workflows.

A few things we will cover include the architectural nuances for AI and how you can use long-running workflows for agents. How to use workflows to manage the AI decisioning workflows and how to pass data between workflows using an external reference system.

About the Presenter

Anton is the CTO and co-founder of Spiral Scout, a software development agency based in the US. He has over 15 years of professional services and product building experience.

Anton is an expert in the PHP community and the creator of Spiral Framework, RoadRunner, CycleORM and Wippy Framework, an AI agentic framework for deploying digital planners and workers.

In his free time, he likes building hardware, writing code on Temporal and spending time with his wife and 2 year old son in Charlotte, NC.
